Marown Primary School

Fostering curiosity and challenge within a fair, safe and respectful community

This year, the Marown School team came a fantastic third place in the Rotary Club’s Annual Junior Public Speaking Competition. We were up against some tough competition from four other local primary schools, and the standard was extremely high.
Our team consisted of Hope (Year 5) as a confident chairperson; Joseph (Year 6) our speaker, who wrote his speech entitled ‘Space Junk’ and received a special award from the judges; and Ruby (Year 6) who offered the vote of thanks with great confidence.
Having worked hard in preparation with Mrs Spencer (thank you Mrs Spencer!), they were professional in their performance and an absolute credit to the school – well done team! Our congratulations go to all the teams that entered the competition this year.
